The Journal Impact Factor is calculated by dividing citations to recent items by the number of recent items.

You can view the Journal Impact Factor by clicking any journal name from the Journals By Rank screen. For each year that the journal has been published, the Journal Impact Factor displays as a clickable link.

Clicking the Journal Impact Factor displays the calculations behind the number.

For journals published in 2016 or later, the denominator in the calculation, the number of recent items, is a clickable link that displays a list of the recent items used to calculate the Journal Impact Factor.
