Introduction
Web of Science™ Web Services define an automated system for mining data from Web of Science databases. They follow SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) for transferring request and response messages.
Web of Science Web Services consist of two JAX-WS Web services:
- WOKMWSAuthenticate
- WokSearchLite
WOKMWSAuthenticate is an authentication and session management service. WokSearchLite is a data retrieval services.
Web of Science Web Services are session-based: the services have state. The services retain your authentication information, service entitlements, and the queries that you have run during a single session.
